The Norwegian Transparency Act
The Transparency Act, which entered into force on 1 July 2022, applies to most larger businesses that are resident in Norway, including Nord Pool.
One of the main pillars of the new act is to promote businesses' respect for fundamental human rights and decent working conditions in connections with the production of goods and the provision of services.
The Transparency act shall ensure the public's access to information and businesses are obliged to provide information on how the work to safeguard human rights and decent working conditions takes place internally and externally towards suppliers and business partners.
